Instead of needing a tool like phpMyAdmin<\/a> \nor the mysql command line client to view and modify your WordPress database, \nthe SQL Executioner allows you to run arbitrary SQL queries against your \nWordPress database from within the Admin. In many cases this allows you to bypass\nthe inherent limitations of the WordPress Admin interface, and use the full expressive\npower of SQL to analyze and update your blog's database.<\/p>\n\n

To use simply install and visit the Tools > SQL Executioner page.<\/p>\n\n

Extract the zip file, drop the sql-executioner folder in your wp-content\/plugins\/ \ndirectory, and then activate from the Plugins page.<\/p>\n\n\n

No. It executes SQL queries directly against your database. If in doubt, run a SELECT<\/code> \nquery before attempting an UPDATE<\/code> or DELETE<\/code> query to confirm what\nyou are about to modify.<\/p><\/dd>\n
