Installation
Installing the plugin:
- Unzip the plugin’s directory into
wp-content/plugins. - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- The categories post will be available on widegt page (Apperance >> Widget)
WordPress administration page.

I had some issues with the plugin, one of which was related to caching which fixed itself and the second was with sub-categories showing at the bottom of the listed categories. Asking for help got the answer back on the sub-category problem very quickly: Sub Categories will appear at the end of all category listings. To get them to list in line, they must be top level categories. Knowing that, we can resolve the problem.
One minus is the panel where categories are listed for selection is quite small. If you have a long list of categories, finding and selecting the ones you want is a little problematic. Having a user adjustable display panel would resolve this issue nicely.
Response was great and fast, plugin works like a charm. Recommended.

With my theme your widget displays categories in a different type face from the general layout typeface and size, and most distracting a non-transparent background so that nothing blends in. Surely an anomaly.

the other plugin developers wanted to charge $69/year for displaying their categories as a widget. Seriously? I can't thank you enough for this great plugin!

This plugin allowed me to do exactly what I needed. As my categories list was very long, I loved the ability to either include or exclude items, and the styling options in the Pro version helped my project immensely.
I also had a terrific experience with the support team who were very responsive and had great solutions for my issues.
